Leading the Way in Sustainable Logistics
Investing in a cleaner and a more efficient logistics system by extending beyond fleet management.
Maximising Vehicle Capacity and Fleet Modernisation
Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our ongoing efforts to modernise our fleet and meet compliance standards. By investing in Euro 6 certified vehicles and upgrading our linehaul truck components based on age and mileage, we are actively reducing CO2 emissions. In the financial year 2023-2024, we introduced new trailers that increase freight capacity by 25%, thereby minimising congestion on major highways. This approach not only enhances our operational efficiency but also significantly decreases excess emissions.
To further optimise our fleet, we employ innovative strategies such as building pallets taller instead of wider, which allows us to maximise loads while maintaining road safety. Our focus on load planning and route optimisation ensures that we use our vehicles to their full potential, effectively reducing unnecessary road traffic and environmental impact. Additionally, we utilise AdBlue in our vehicles equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology, which helps lower harmful gas emissions released into the atmosphere.
Our sustainability initiatives extend beyond fleet management. We have implemented comprehensive waste segregation and recycling programs that separate materials such as metals, timber, plastics, and cardboard, ensuring they are disposed of sustainably and kept out of landfills. By collaborating with recycling companies, we also facilitate the resale of second-hand fittings and furniture, further reducing waste. Through these initiatives, we demonstrate our dedication to environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
Commitment to Sustainable Solutions and Practices
In partnership with a leading customer, we conducted trials of alternative pallet materials along the east and west coasts, testing both metal and cardboard pallets; however, metal pallets required an impractical rubber layer for stability, while cardboard pallets proved unsuitable for varying weather conditions. Ultimately, reusing timber pallets emerged as the most effective solution, and we are now focusing on this approach. Additionally, we specialise in providing sustainable packaging materials, including reusable blankets and other recyclable options. Furthering our commitment to sustainability, we are actively implementing solar panels and efficiency upgrades at our facilities, aiming to reduce waste and find innovative ways to minimise landfill contributions.
